Travel grant
Recognizing the impact that travel can have on an artist’s career, the Dorothy Antoinette LaSelle Foundation is awarding one artist $5,000 to cover costs associated with research and travel to further their artistic practice. Dorothy Antoinette “Toni” LaSelle, a pioneer of Modernism in Texas, traveled to Europe in 1927-28, some of the most formative years of her life. Toni explored England, Italy and France during this trip, which may not have been possible without a travel grant awarded to the artist.
The Foundation, established in order to preserve the Legacy of Toni LaSelle, wishes to award this unrestricted travel grant to one visual artist living and practicing in the state of Texas. To be eligible, applicants must be continuously practicing visual artists who have earned their BFA and they must have lived in the state of Texas for at least one year.
The deadline for applications is September 1, 2024 and the winner will be notified October 1, 2024.
There is no application fee.
